I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Pytchley inn! The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, everything well looked after and the staff are super friendly! Breakfast was fantastic and was served by Wendy who really brightened up my morning.

Family meal...we communicated back and forth but not all info seemed to have reached the right parties. My steak was delicious with a fiery peppercorn sauce and all of the sides were lovely. Camembert starter was huge! Roast meats were good but the veg were all a bit bland and beige and the roasties were soggy. Service was attentive and excellent. Side room for our large party and making a squarish table instead of a long thin one was lovely. Xmas music got too loud for my child (Sen) but staff were very quick to rectify which was very much appreciated.

Just went for a Sunday roast dinner. Although the food tasted great, the amount of food was an insult for the price. We have never been so underwhelmed at a roast dinner before. Long story short, 1 carrot between 2 adults, 1 slice of meat, no horseradish with the beef and no mint sauce with the lamb when advertised is criminal. Avoid the small roast dinner at all costs and the regular is not worth £4 more for 1 more potato. The kids mini roast advertises 1 slice of meat, suggesting an adults dinner should be at least 2 slices. You'd get better value by ordering 2 kids mini roasts each totalling £15 instead of paying £13 for what can only be described as the smallest unforfilling roast dinner I've ever had. Left still hungry when should have felt full and ready for a snooze. That classic Sunday dinner feeling.

Awful food. Came late. Rude Manageress with a terrible attitude. It was not our fault you didn’t get our orders in till late. A table of six shouldn’t have been too tricky to handle. Made to feel by staff member it was our fault. Dealt with poorly.

We stayed for 1 night and the room was good. We had lunch and dinner the first day and breakfast the following morning. All of the staff were very lovely, helpful and attentive. The food was always great, particularly the double steak deal. Unfortunately with all 3 of our visits to the restaurant there were issues with our orders, things that were forgotten or just wrong. Not a huge issue for us, but could be if you have specific dietary requirements. The staff were very apologetic and offered to put it right each time, which was appreciated.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife. They cooked her a marvellous gluten free meal. My surf n turf was delicious. The staff were very friendly and well turned out. If we're this way on again, we'll definitely be eating ghere again.

We have been going to the Pytchley for years and have always thoroughly enjoyed a Sunday roast, always a decent potion of fresh, delicious food and no complaints. However, it just seems different now, has something changed in the last year or two? The portion seem to be quite stingy, especially with the veg which is now supplied on a small dish. It’s no where near enough, especially when you expected to share that dish between two people. To us it just seems like it’s all dropped in quality and quantity but the price remains the same. I’ve been disappointed with our last few visits, what’s happened?

1 star is extremely generous. If I could give 0 I would. We waited over an hour for our food to be told the order hadn’t been placed with the kitchen. We then waited over 20 minutes for our drinks order. We were given little apology and not even checked on. We had to go up and ask for some drinks ourselves. After a very lengthy wait we then ended up leaving without eating. The staff said “thanks for coming” not even aware that we were waiting and had not been fed. Manager wasn’t even aware of us. Appalling. Will not be returning.

We came as a family party of 8 for a Sunday roast over the bank holiday weekend. Our party was three generations and we were very well looked after and all dietary requirements were easily catered for. Great food, great service and beautiful location.

We’ve just been for a meal for my sister’s birthday. After having to ask for menus, 20 minutes later we were told our order didn’t go through and food we ordered was now unavailable. After an additional 40 minutes we were still sat hungry, at least 4 tables who came in after us had their food and finished. We had to call someone over to order more drinks which 15 minutes later didn’t arrive. By this time we were fed up so walked out with a hungry 1 year old and a very upset birthday girl! As we walked out the manager thanked us!! after watching us sat there for an hour! Poor management and customer service, we will not be returning. Food & drinks: Don’t bother
