Tuesday night is cheese night.
For £3.00 a plate you get a choice of about 7 cheeses along with biscuits and pickles.
Extras such as sausage rolls and scotch eggs are also available.
Homely welcome with roaring fires, good beers and fantastic food.whats not to love.

We had lunch today with our daughter . I have to say my Sunday roast was delicious . Pork very tender and the cauliflower cheese actually tasted of cheese ! Vegetables and potatoes perfect.
Husbands meal of sausage and mash very tasty including a special request of a Yorkshire pudding ! Daughter is vegetarian, her meal of mushroom tart, cooked Camembert with crispy bread and chunky chips looked mouth watering. We were made to feel very welcome .
We will be back again….

Without doubt the best Sunday lunch we've had for some time.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly, attentive and professional.
Another booking made.

First ever visit (7/23) to this gastro pub with a visiting friend. Varied menu with pub classics and more expensive specials. We both had sirloin steaks from the specials which were high quality and well cooked. They were served with mushroom, tomato and a sauce (choice of four). The (additional cost) sides of triple-cooked chips (me) and Greek salad (my friend) were also excellent. A decent pint too. Recommended.

Lovely little pub, the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent. I am a foodie, and i will definitely be returning. I had the burger, which was delicious, but the fish and chips a couple in our party had looked and smelled amazing. All were happy. There were a few of us in for dinner, and whilst we had a little time to wait, it gave us time to chat and it was definitely worth it as we all had our food arrive at the same time nice and hot. My only complaint is that i didn't have room for dessert, but my waistline was grateful for that. It's definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic little village pub restaurant, lovely food, nice atmosphere, great beer. The stone baked pizzas are to die for. Especially the Nduja, Honey and Red Onion! Already planning my next visit!

Just had the vegan roasts and they were amazing. Nut roast was clearly made in-house, as was the wellington. Veg perfectly cooked and plenty of food for the amazing prices. Beer was on point too, plenty of Purity to drink!

2022: Still a lovely and well-managed restaurant/pub with excellent service and superb food & drink. Just the best. At least 6 stars.
2020/21: as good as below but now with added takeaway and garden, plus a sensible one way system. Special brunch menu was amazing and the seasonal menus are always great. Book in or miss out!
2018/19: Lovely, friendly, relaxed restauranty pub with excellent service. Delicious, beautifully presented food to suit a range of tastes. Fantastic selection of drinks including local craft beers, cider, soft drinks and gin. Staff were flexible and accomodating to meet the needs of our group, including children. Even drinks available for the well behaved dogs in the bar. Highly recommended: eat, drink and be merry!
